PLA is a renewable, eco-friendly bioplastic made from fermented plant starch. Because they are 3D printed layer-by-layer, every buddy has a unique texture and finish that mass-produced plastic just can't match.

These buddies are made from PLA, which is heat-sensitive. Please treat them with care:

  • HAND WASH ONLY: Do not put them in the dishwasher. High heat will warp the 3D printed material.
  • Warm Water: Rinse with warm soapy water. Do not use boiling water.
  • Cold Use Only: Designed for ice cream tubs, not hot coffee or soup!
❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Will it fit my ice cream tub?
They are designed for standard 450ml–500ml "pint" tubs. They fit perfectly with Connoisseur, Haagen-Dazs, Bulla Murray St, Magnum, Ben & Jerry's, and Halo Top. They do NOT fit the large 2L square tubs.

What is PLA?
PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a bioplastic derived from renewable resources like corn starch or sugarcane. It's durable, safe, and better for the environment than traditional oil-based plastics.

Why can I see lines on the product?
That is the beauty of 3D printing! The "layer lines" are a result of the manufacturing process where the object is built layer-by-layer here in Adelaide. It gives the product a unique texture and grip.
